A new character
"You're still thinking about the clocks going forward, aren't you?" MindReader, a fellow lawyer, says. For this is what he does."Yes," I say, my head in my hands. "I just don't understand what's going on."
"Well," he says, rubbing his hands together. "The sun's just having a night off."
"Mmm," I say.
"Yeah," he says, his eyes dancing. "Because of the Human Rights Act he has to have two hours off a year."
Is it okay that this makes perfect sense to me?

We have a rainbow-maker on the front window. Merry has been chasing rainbows up and down stairs all morning. Still no pot of gold though...

it's ok it makes perfect sense to me too.
It only makes sense if you're studying on an immersion course or living communally in a religious sect. Then, anything makes sense!
When the daylight saving Act was passed, in 1916, many law-abiding citizens felt it to be their civic duty to stay up on the night so as to put their domestic clocks and watches forward at exactly 1.00am. Only then were they able to retire to bed with a clear conscience.
Things were different in them days...
